Hollywood is learning the ways of appeasing Indian audiences to grow their foothold and connecting with Indian movie stars and making them the front to promote the movies is the latest trend they are following. Ranveer Singh is the voice of Deadpool in the second movie of the franchise. Before that, Rana Daggubati was the voice of villain Thanos in the Telugu version of Avengers: Infinity War.

The list goes on. Tiger Shroff voiced Peter Parker in the Hindi version of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Varun Dhawan was Steve Rogers in Captain America: Civil War, Arshad Warsi was the voice of Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean and Shah Rukh Khan was Mr Incredible in 2004 movie The Incredibles' Hindi version.

What we are going to describe now may fall under 'mild spoiler' category for Deadpool 2 So those who don't want to know about it, please turn away right now and read the spoiler-free review instead.

Speaking of Deadpool and Shah Rukh Khan, the latest outing of Merc with Mouth pays tribute to Badshah of Bollywood and Mozart of Madras AR Rahman's movie Swades. Of course, it is done in that particular Deadpool style of insulting and loving everyone at the same time.

In 2016's Deadpool, when Wade Wilson aka Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) met Indian cab driver Dopinder (Karan Soni) for the first time, we heard Raj Kumar's iconic 'Mera Joota Hai Japani' from the movie Shree 420. The song didn't serve a purpose then. It just established that Dopinder is Indian.

But in Deadpool 2, towards the climax, we hear AR Rahman and Shah Rukh Khan's song 'Yuhin Chala Chal' from movie Swades. In the scene, Deadpool, Cable (Josh Brolin), and Domino (Zazzie Beetz) double down on Cable over his racist nature as he orders Dopinder to turn the volume down on the inspiring, cheerful song while they all are inching towards some serious action scenes (that also include massive CGI fights). To Hindi speaking ears, the joke makes more sense because the song asks the squad to keep marching on even though one of them is being racist, difficult, obtuse and all of the above.

Deadpool 2 is filled with such gags. So when you walk in to watch the movie on Friday, be alert and don't miss references and brilliant cameos.

Aryan Khan Looks Like Dad "Shah Rukh Khan"
Gauri Khan posted a photo of Shah Rukh Khan and son Aryan Khan on Instagram and we think it's safe to say that it pretty viral already.

Hello there, Aryan Khan. So good to see you! Gauri Khan posted a photo of Shah Rukh Khan and son Aryan Khan on Instagram and we think it's safe to say that it pretty viral already! Instagrammed on Thursday morning, the photo has garnered almost 2 lakh 'likes' by evening with over 2,030 comments pouring in.

What's interesting is that, a majority of Gauri Khan's Instafam (count in choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan and interior designer Sussanne Khan) thinks that the 19-year-old Khan looks just like his superstar father. Farah Khan's comment is basically all of us: "Can't decide who is handsomer," she wrote while Sussanne added: "Uff! I think I died and went to heaven."

Other users on Gauri's Instagram posted reviews like: "Like father like son", "Same double copy", "Can't decide which one is Shah Rukh."

This is what we are talking about:

It's a delight of course but also quite a bit surprising to see Aryan Khan make an official appearance on mom Gauri's Instagram because he already has a reputation for not being a big fan of the social media fever. In September last year, Gauri dared to share a photo of Aryan with this disclaimer: "Posting an image of my son without his permission... hope I don't get fired." Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan had also revealed that he was forbidden by his family to share photos of them on social media. But he turned out to be a rule breaker, just like Gauri.

A post shared by Gauri Khan (@gaurikhan) on

Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana, 17, is finishing school and goes to Mumbai's Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Meanwhile, Aryan is in California, where he's pursuing a course in filmmaking. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri are also parents to little AbRam, who will soon turn five.

A Shah Rukh Khan fan decided to propose to her boyfriend when he wouldn’t do it for her.
Let’s put it in straight, clear words: Shah Rukh Khan has ruined lives. Sure he gave so many of us a purpose to live and a renewed faith in love through his beautiful movies, we still can’t deny the blatant destruction he left in his path.

The actor’s romantic movies, the love songs, the dreamy locations, the fairytale proposals have been raising women’s hopes from men (and love in general) for quite a few decades now. We too want a Raj for our Simran and a Rahul to our Anjali. But because we are no Simrans or Anjalis or Poojas ourselves, we rarely find ourselves in a love story so pure. However, a woman decided to break out of the dream and create her own fairytale.

In a recent post made by India’s answer to Humans of New York, Humans of Bombay shared the story of a fed-up Bengali woman who decided to propose to her boyfriend when he would not give her the ‘Shah Rukh Khan treatment.’ Because their parents took a lot of time to be convinced for the wedding, the couple didn’t really have much scope for a full-blown, surprise filmy proposal. But the Bollywood crazy bride decided she wanted to turn Shah Rukh Khan for her husband and proposed to him on his birthday instead.

Read her story here:

“Shahrukh Khan ruined my life!

Since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of having the ‘perfect proposal’ from the perfect man. Violins would start playing in the background, he would walk up to me slowly, while the wind blew in my hair, fall to his knees and hand me the ring.

But that never happened. In fact, we found ourselves in the middle of this mess where I was trying to convince my Bengali parents to let me marry a Punjabi Baniya! We’d been dating for 3 years, but the majority of that time was spent on bringing our families together. At one point in our relationship, we were sure that we were going to get married --so he never even tried to ‘surprise’ me with a proposal.

Amidst all this drama of a big, fat Indian wedding, I realised-- I never had my filmy moment! So, on his birthday, I decided to take the matter into my own hands. I planned a surprise party at the restaurant where we had our first date, and as soon as he walked in-- I asked the DJ to play “Marry Me” by Bruno Mars and fell to my knees when he walked in.

I said ‘Ashish Aggrawal-- I want to spend the rest of my life laughing, crying and fighting with you-- will you marry me?’ He looked at me, smirked, pulled me in for a hug and whispered - ‘let’s hope our kids aren’t as filmy!’

And just like that, I created the moment I’d been waiting for..why do women have to wait for the guy to propose? It’s a new day, new age-- if you like him, then maybe you should put a ring on it!”

While most comments are praising the woman and her story, many missed the sarcasm of her tone by a mile. They are asking her what is Shah Rukh’s fault in this situation. “SRK didnt ruin your life.....he showed you how beautiful it can be...he never told anyone this will happen with everyone off the reel.....besides did you just compare ur man with king of romance?,” a comment read. We guess people will always find something to hate on even on a wholesome post as this one. Here’s hoping they catch the sarcasm in the headline above.

The most hillarious moment in the video was Chris Lynn, who is an Australian cricketer and does not speak hindi, enacted SRK’s dialogue from the movie Raees, and said, “Battery nahi bolne ka (Don’t call me battery)!”

SRK was quick to respond to the video in his usual funny manner and joked that the cricketers should leave the acting to him.

In a tweet, the Bollywood actor said, “As much as I love my team, here’s the deal. I leave the cricket to u & u leave the acting to me!! Ha ha.”

Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan apologised to fans after his team suffered a humiliating 102-run defeat at the hands of Mumbai Indians in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Wednesday.
Just after KKR's loss, Shah Rukh, who co-owns the team with actress Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta, took to Twitter and wrote an apologetic message to KKR fans. "Sports is about the spirit and wins/losses don't reflect that. But tonight as the 'Boss' I need to apologise to the fans for the lack of spirit," he wrote.
The win against KKR took Rohit Sharma's team to level on points with KKR (10 points from 11 games) and fourth in the points table courtesy a better net run rate.
KKR, who lost to the same opponents twice in the space of three days, dropped to fifth spot.
MI, who remain in the reckoning for the play-offs, have now won 18 times, and eighth on the row, in 23 meetings with KKR.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan, who scored a whirlwind 21-ball 62 in MI's win, credited the team's backing for his success, saying it has helped him bat freely.
"It's always good for a youngster to bat up the order and when your skipper and the franchise is backing you, it's just about playing your game. I am comfortable batting anywhere," Kishan said after the match.

Flashback Friday: When Shah Rukh Khan supported Salman Khan over his criminal charges, Watch viral video

Almost 20 years post the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, Salman Khan was convicted by a Jodhpur Court on Thursday. The actor, who was accused of killing two blackbucks along with his Hum Sath Sath Hain co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre, has been sentenced to 5-years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 10,000. While a number of Bollywood celebs have come out and voiced their opinion on social media and otherwise, but turns out that Salman's close friend Shah Rukh Khan had already expressed his emotions in a previous interview.

An old video clip from the said interview has surfaced online and has been doing the rounds on social media since quite sometime now. In the video, Shah Rukh can be seen talking about the downsides or disadvantages of being a star/celebrity. He also expressed that many a times the celebrities get judged even before their crime gets proved and that is something he felt, happens with Salman time and again.

Here's what he says:

"To a great extent I feel that there are a lot of advantages of being a movie star and being famous and at the same time there are a few negative things too. And I think one of the negatives of being a celebrity is that you get judged even before your crime is proven or proved. This has happened time and again with Salman. I think by virtue of the impression that stardom is giving to people, they think that they can say anything about the stars and it'll be alright. That I think, is wrong. I think, I'm nobody and I'm genuinely not somebody who can comment on what the law is. We all respect it (the law), but somewhere, at a personal level, one feels and wishes all this did not happen to Salman."

Meanwhile, Salman's hearing for his bail has been deferred till Saturday. The actor will be spending the Friday night in the Jodhpur Central Jail. Watch this space for more updates...

Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan bags her first project, to shoot for a magazine soon

Suhana Khan, Shah Rukh’s daughter is all set to step into the glamour industry. Seems like the time has come for her to take the giant leap and step up.  All of 17, Suhana has already been in the limelight for her glamorous appearances at Shah Rukh or Gauri’s parties as well as other Bollywood bashes.
Gauri Khan attended an event recently and the super mom was asked about something that she is looking forward to in terms of her children and she quickly replied saying that the only thing she is looking forward to right now is the shoot that Suhana is going to do for a magazine. Well, it is clear that Suhana will soon be seen entering the world of glamour with a bang, we wonder when we’ll get to see the diva in the making on-screen. Till then, catch take a look at this video of Gauri Khan confirming the news.

Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan all set to enter the world of glamour

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana, who rules the internet with her gorgeous pictures on Instagram, has bagged her first project in showbiz. The 17-year-old will soon begin shooting for a magazine, her mom Gauri Khan recently revealed.

“Suhana is shooting for a magazine. I don’t want to reveal the name but that’s the most exciting thing I am looking forward to this year,” Gauri told reporters on the sidelines of Hello Hall of Fame Awards that were held over the weekend.

Earlier, talking about the interests of his kids, SRK had said that they need to complete their education first. “Suhana wants to be an actress. I see that zeal in her. She’s extremely good on stage, I’ve seen her performances. She’s admittedly a cinema fan and wants to be in the industry. But my point is simple — you need to complete your education before doing anything. That’s the only thing I have told my children,” he said.

Talking about his daughter Suhana’s interest in the film industry, Shah Rukh had said while promoting his recent film Jab Harry Met Sejal, “Suhana is more theatre-oriented and has been doing plays. The best part is that she doesn’t want to learn (acting) from me. She wants to be an actor in her own right.”

However, he added that Suhana needs to be prepared for the pay gaps that female actors go through: “She can be an actor if she has the passion and guts to work five times harder than me and get paid 10 times less than I do, if times don’t change for women actors. I want her to experience what my female co-stars have gone through. My daughter will be an actor like them and I want to feel the pain.”

SALUTE: Shah Rukh Khan to start prepping for Rakesh Sharma's biopic in May

Shah Rukh Khan will be playing astronaut Rakesh Sharma in his biopic, Salute. The actor will start prepping for the movie in May and commence shooting for the same in September.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently immersed in the shooting of Aanand L. Rai's next Zero which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. After Zero, Shah Rukh's focus will shift gear to astronaut Rakesh Sharma's biopic which is titled Salute.
Post wrapping the shoot of Zero, SRK will start prepping for Salute from May onwards, according to a leading daily.
A source revealed to the daily, "SRK will wrap Zero by April end, after which he will be busy for the next three months prepping up for his character in Salute. He will be doing his own research with his team and studying the nuances to play the astronaut. That’s why he’s taken a three-month break in between to devote himself fully to the biopic."
Shah Rukh will commence shooting for the movie from September to November, then take a break to promote Zero and get back to work on Salute from January 2019. The film is expected to release next year.

Are you excited to see Shah Rukh as Rakesh Sharma in Salute? Let us know in the comments below.
Aamir Khan was originally going to star as Rakesh Sharma but backed out and according to a leading daily, it was he who recommended Shah Rukh's name to the makers.
A source had revealed to the daily, "Aamir strongly recommended the Rakesh Sharma biopic to Shah Rukh as a script worth walking that extra mile for. More so, since Aamir intends to devote a substantial period of his time to a very dear project of his, presumably the Mahabharat, and has stopped accepting any other assignments currently."

Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy wrapping up Aanand L Rai’s Zero that releases on December 21 this year. Although no other film has been officially announced, After Hrs recently told you that he has finalised the Rakesh Sharma biopic, Salute, to be his immediate next. After a series of meetings with the producers, the superstar is said to have finally locked his dates for the film, September onward.
Says our source, “SRK will wrap Zero by April end, after which he will be busy for the next three months prepping up for his character in Salute. He will be doing his own research with his team and studying the nuances to play the astronaut. That’s why he’s taken a three-month break in between to devote himself fully to the biopic.”

The actor will shoot for for the film from September to November, take a break for the promotions of Zero and then resume Salute early January 2019.

Meanwhile, Zero is slated to release on December 21, 2018.

Shah Rukh Khan as Astronaut - SRK to Start Raksh Sharma's Biopic "Salute" This September

After Hrs was the first to report that following Aamir Khan’s decision to step out of Salute, Shah Rukh Khan was likely to take up the film. The makers (Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur) had approached King Khan for the biopic, which is based on the life of Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian astronaut to go to space. At a recent event, SRK said, “I haven’t signed a film yet. I really want to live with Zero because it’s a little tedious... I have been meeting Siddharth and Ronnie. I have met a lot of other directors and producers because I have to. But I haven’t confirmed anything yet…”

However, now the superstar has apparently given his nod to Salute. He has locked his dates for the movie, which is being helmed by ad filmmaker-turned-director Mahesh Mathai. Says a source, “SRK wants to start shooting in September and continue for two months before he starts promoting Zero, which releases on Christmas. After that, he will resume Salute’s shoot from January 2019. The film is expected to release next year.”

ABOUT RAKESH SHARMA
Rakesh Sharma, who joined the Indian Air Force in 1970, flew on board the Soyuz T-11 with two Soviet cosmonauts in 1984 and landed on space station Salyut 7. When the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi asked him how India looked from outer space, he had said, “Saare Jahan Se Acha.” The Republic Of India had conferred its highest peacetime gallantry award — the Ashoka Chakra — on the astronaut.

REAL TO REEL

Though Salute will be SRK’s first biopic, he has depicted characters based on real people before, too. He played the coach of the Indian national women’s hockey team in Chak De! India. His character was loosely modelled on hockey player Mir Ranjan Negi. Last year, the actor was seen in Raees, which was reportedly based on Gujarat-based bootlegger Abdul Latif’s life.

Shah Rukh Khan's Don 3 To Be Shot In Dubai And Abu Dhabi?

Shah Rukh Khan's Don 3 To Be Shot In Dubai And Abu Dhabi?

The Shah Rukh Khan-Starrer Is Slated To Go On Floors Next Year. It Is Also Being Said That A Newcomer Will Play SRK'S Leading Lady
If the trade grapevine is to be believed, the long-in-the-planning Don 3 will be shot in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and not Malaysia as in the earlier outings. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer is slated to go on floors next year. It is also being said that a newcomer will play SRK’s leading lady. Though there is nothing official from writer-director Farhan Akhtar, producer Ritesh Sidhwani had earlier said that the third outing of Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011) will happen.

Last year in December, when Don 2 completed six years, producer Ritesh Sidhwani said Don 3 will happen soon. "It will happen sooner than you know as we have started working on the script and the story. I think we need to crack the story as the responsibility is more (to get it right for the third part). With the next film in 'Don' franchise we won't take that much time, we will make it fast," he told PTI.

Farhan Akhtar and Sidhwani's production company, Excel Entertainment, owns the rights of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 1978 film "Don". "Don" (2006) and "Don 2" (2011) also starred Priyanka Chopra opposite Shah Rukh Khan, who stars in the title role. Speculations are rife especially over Priyanka's character, Roma. According to reports, Deepika Padukone's name had emerged to replace the "Quantico" actor. When asked if the makers can play around with the central characters, especially that of Priyanka's, Sidhwani said it is too early to comment.

Shah rukh is cureentlly working on the set of zero.
Zero is directed by Aanand L. Rai and also features Anushka Sharma. The film's teaser showcased Shah Rukh as a vertically challenged man who seems to be fond of Bollywood. Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions have come together for the film, produced by Gauri Khan. It will release on December 21.

Imtiaz Ali talks about Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan's popularity abroad but ignores Salman Khan completely

Imtiaz Ali talks about Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan's popularity abroad but ignores Salman Khan completely

Imtiaz Ali named Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan as two superstars whose combination "of exuberance and content" would help film-makers to breakthrough different markets.

Imtiaz Ali said that Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are the two superstars whose combination "of exuberance and content" would help film-makers to breakthrough new and different markets. However, surprisingly, he did not mention Salman Khan's name, whose Bajrangi Bhaijaan has also been running successfully in China.

Speaking at a panel discussion at FICCI Frames, Imtiaz talked about Shah Rukh and Aamir's popularity across the globe, and their ability to connect with the foreign audience.
"I think you need Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir as a combination of exuberance and content to break through and get into different markets. Of course, I have shot with Shah Rukh in Europe, so there hardly a place that we went and people didn't mass recognize him. That's a great thing for us," PTI quoted Ali as saying at the event.

The Tamasha director further said that the film-makers' work also improves when the films get good attention in the international markets.
"What it does is, it changes the quality of your own work when you get aware of the fact that different people from all over the world are watching. I think there is a qualitative improvement in cinema as a result of it traveling abroad," he added.
Imtiaz made the statements referring to the overseas performance of SRK's Devdas and Aamir's Secret Superstar.
However, Imtiaz did not mention Salman here, who is considered to be one of the biggest superstars of India. Not just in India, Salman has proven to be highly popular in China also, as his film Bajrangi Bhaijaan has been performing brilliantly in China. The film is set to cross Rs 100 crore at the China box office.

This is Salman's first film to have been released in China, and it has been performing well there. In such a scenario and considering Salman's stardom, it might appear little strange to Sallu bhai's fans that Imtiaz did not even take his name while talking about the two Khan's popularity in the foreign market.

Imtiaz Ali: Need combination of Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan to enter new markets

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali said the best way to enter a new business market for films would be to have superstars "Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan as a combination of exuberance and content". At a panel discussion titled 'Chinese Dragon Market for Elephantine Indian Films' at the ongoing FICCI Frames, Ali said when a local content is consumed globally, it makes storytellers enhance their own work.
"I think you need Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir as a combination of exuberance and content to break through and get into different markets. Of course, I've shot with Shah Rukh in Europe, so there hardly a place that we went and people didn't mass recognise him. That's a great thing for us," Ali said.
"What it does is, it changes the quality of your own work when you get aware of the fact that different people from all over the world are watching... I think there is a qualitative improvement in cinema as a result of it travelling abroad," the director added.
Ali said from "Devdas", which opened European markets, to 'Secret Superstar', which is doing great business in China,
"we have started to wear the same clothes".
"Except for language, there is no other difference," he said.
When asked if he would make a film in Mandarin, Ali said he actually has an idea which might be suitable to be made in the language.
"I quickly thought of all the films that I have made. And even though when I think about Mandarin, what comes to my mind is really exotic Chinese music and people eating with chopsticks and some pretty looking girls."
When I think about the films I have made, many of them could have been a Mandarin film.
"But now, I feel I already have a lot of scripts for Mandarin films, especially the one that I have been toying with from a long time. It gives writers and directors an opportunity to tell stories with a bigger heart, to a bigger audience," he said.
Prasad Shetty, Director of China Peacock Mountain Group, was also present during the session.
Shetty, who has released Aamir's 'Dangal' and 'Secret Superstar' in China, said the country is a huge market for Hindi films.

So far, both the films have done exceptionally well in China.
He insists that it is not just that only Aamir's films are turning out to be blockbusters, it is the content that works.
"No one kind of actor's film is a hit, it's the content that works. People love stories, which are human dramas and have emotions unlike the big-budget Hollywood films, which they keep watching anyway and that also do well."
"But at the same time it doesn't mean only one particular kind of genre or stories work. We can't define what works and what doesn't. There is no set formula for it. India and China are similar in lot of ways like culture, values etc," Shetty said.
Ajit Thakur, Head of Trinity Pictures, revealed that China, which has 51,000 screens, has a unique way of marketing Hindi films.
"They (Chinese distributors) use the star-power of Chinese superstars to promote Hindi films in China. It is working well," he said.
Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar, known for films like 'Vicky Donor', 'Piku' and 'Pink', said he does not understand market, but "only knows how to tell stories".
"I would love to explore the Chinese market, be it teaming up with actors over there or working there," he said.

Need combination of Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan to enter new markets: Imtiaz Ali

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali said the best way to enter a new business market for films would be to have superstars“Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan as a combination of exuberance and content”.

At a panel discussion titled ‘Chinese Dragon Market for Elephantine Indian Films’ at the ongoing FICCI Frames, Ali said when a local content is consumed globally, it makes storytellers enhance their own work.
“I think you need Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir as a combination of exuberance and content to break through and get into different markets. Of course, I’ve shot with Shah Rukh in Europe, so there hardly a place that we went and people didn’t mass recognise him. That’s a great thing for us,” Ali said.
“What it does is, it changes the quality of your own work when you get aware of the fact that different people from all over the world are watching... I think there is a qualitative improvement in cinema as a result of it travelling abroad,” the director added.
Ali said from Devdas, which opened European markets, to Secret Superstar, which is doing great business in China, “we have started to wear the same clothes”.
“Except for language, there is no other difference,” he said.
When asked if he would make a film in Mandarin, Ali said he actually has an idea which might be suitable to be made in the language.

We know how popular Shah Rukh Khan is. In fact, the other name of being famous is being Shah Rukh Khan. And we are not talking about the fan following he enjoys in India. He is equally popular abroad…you see, not every actor gets a chance to give a speech at every big university in the world. One such foreign fan came knocking at his door looking for Shah Rukh Khan. Did he open it? Well, for that we will have to wait for the actor to reveal. (Also read: In case you were missing Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, here swoon over his latest pics)

Barcelona footballer Gaizka Mendieta was in India lately and like every tourist who comes to Mumbai, he was spotted outside Mannat. Shah Rukh Khan’s home is a tourist spot now and always draws a lot of crowd. We even spotted Salman Khan cycling past it yelling ‘Shah Rukh Khan’… just saying! Now coming back to Gaizka, he clicked a picture outside Mannat wondering if the actor will open the door when he knocks. As much as we know SRK, he will welcome him with open arms only if he is inside. While we try to figure out if the actor has noticed this tweet or not, you check out the image.

Last we know, Shah Rukh had gone to shoot Zero. He had posted a selfie on Instagram yesterday night saying how the traffic made his picture lose colour. But rather than assuming what he might have said, let’s wait for his reply.

'Don 3': Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar team up sans Priyanka Chopra

Basic idea of Don 3 is locked and Priyanka Chopra will be replaced

The last movie from the Don franchise came out in 2011 and for the last 7 years, fans have been eagerly waiting for Farhan Akhtar and Shah Rukh Khan to bring its third instalment. The work on the script of the film, which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, has finally begun and makers are expected to give the final narration to the superstar in next few months.

“We have locked the basic idea of the film and shared it with Shah Rukh Khan. The story this time around is set in the Middle East and a major chunk of the film would be shot in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The script is currently being worked on and we plan to go on floors sometime next year,” said a source close to the development.

Yes, we knew you were awaiting some sort of confirmation regarding the speculations around 'Don 3' and today, we come bearing good news. It is reported that Shah Rukh Khan will return to the franchise after almost eight years and he is all set to team up with Farhan Akhtar for it. Will Priyanka Chopra be a part of the film? Well, it seems that the film will go on floors without the actress and as of yet, news of a leading lady hasn't been confirmed.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy shooting for Aanand L. Rai’s 'Zero' and post shooting for the film, he will begin shooting for 'Don 3'. The script of the film, helmed by Farhan will be perfected by the time Shah Rukh finishes shooting for 'Zero' so that they can start working on the franchise as soon as possible. Farhan always said that ‘Don 3’ was definitely happening, but that he wasn’t sure when. However, looks like things are finally moving forward now.

Talking about Priyanka Chopra’s involvement in the film, the source said, “Since the story is set in a different region, it doesn’t warrant her character. We shall decide on the final casting of the film once the final script has been locked.”

When asked if Don 3 will be Shah Rukh’s next film after Zero, the source said, “The two scripts that he is considering currently include Salute and Don 3. There is a huge possibility of Salute going on floors before Don 3. He shall announce his next film only after finishing the shoot of Zero.”

Talking about Zero, it is Shah Rukh’s dream project which is in the making for a long time now. The actor has promised that it will be the most advanced film ever. Also starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in lead roles, the film is directed by Aanand L Rai and is slated to release on 21st December 2018.
