IPL 2018 – SRK sends wishes to Kolkata in middle of his shower

Rajasthan, who were kept well ahead in the chase by Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson, faltered in towards the end to mess it up. Moments after the match, Kolkata’s co-owner Shah Rukh Khan posted a video wishing his team ‘in the middle of his shower’.
Two-time Indian Premier League champions Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Rajasthan Royals by 25 runs in the best-ever conditions that the visitors could have got. Yet, Rajasthan, who were kept well ahead in the chase by Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson, faltered in towards the end to mess it up. Moments after the match, Kolkata’s co-owner Shah Rukh Khan posted a video wishing his team ‘in the middle of his shower’.
Put to bat first, Kolkata lost their top order to Krishnappa Gowtham and Shreyas Gopal, before Dinesh Karthik notched up his yet another fifty and was ably supported by a fiery 25-ball 49 by Andre Russell which took their runs tally to 169 runs at the loss of seven wickets.
Rajasthan took off to a cautious start and slowly steadied their innings after the early dismissal of Rahul Tripathi. Samson and Rahane set up a patient 50-run partnership before the skipper departed, followed by the former. And that is where everything went into a disarray for Rajasthan. From 63 needed off 35, the tourists fell short of 25 runs in the end.
Moments after the, SRK took to Twitter to say, “Missed talking to the fabulous boys from KKR…was getting ready for shoot. So in the middle of my shower sending all my love. Wow #KKRHaiTayyar so so proud and happy.”

Kolkata have now won four games in a row in IPL 2018 and look mighty strong ahead of their Qualifier 2 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad two nights hence at Eden Gardens. SRH, who finished at the top of the table with 18 points in 14 games, lost their last four matches. “I think winning 4 games on the row feels good. Especially this one as we were under the pump,” said Karthik after the match. “Every game is important from here on. Next game is important as there are two good teams which will be competing.”
